Ingredients

  • 3 medium 3 medium Italian Garlic Sausages (or any sausage you like)

  • 1 medium 1 medium Green Bell Pepper (seeded, sliced into 3-inch strips)

  • 1 medium 1 medium Red Bell Pepper (seeded, sliced into 3-inch strips)

  • 1 medium 1 medium Yellow Bell Pepper (seeded, sliced into 3-inch strips)

  • 1 large 1 large Yellow Onion (sliced)

  • 5 cloves 5 cloves Garlic (minced)

  • 2 tbsp 29.57 ml Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 2 tbsp 29.57 ml Olive Oil

  • 8 slices 8 slices Cheese (any kind that you like)

  • 6 pcs 6 pcs Sandwich Rolls

  • Salt and Pepper to Taste

  • Dried Parsley

  • Dried Basil

  • Butter

Directions

  • On medium heat, heat the oil in a large, heavy skillet. Add the sausages and cook for about 7 to 10 minutes, until both sides are browned.
  • Take it out of the skillet and cut it into 4 to 6 pieces that are each about 1 inch thick.
  • Sauté the onions, peppers, and garlic in the same pan. Toss them around so the oil in the pan covers them, and sear them as best you can, stirring them every so often.
  • Season with salt and pepper and stir often for about 8 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft and starting to brown. Add the vinegar to the mix.
  • Put the sausage back in the pan and stir it around until it’s all mixed together.
  • Spread butter on the sandwich rolls and put them in the oven to toast.
  • Add two slices of cheese to each sandwich and put the sausage mixture in the bottom half of the roll.
  • Sprinkle dried parsley and dried basil on top.
  • Serve the sandwiches right away. Enjoy!
